Four Month Bliss

Our baby girl is no longer an newborn and she has a pair of earrings to prove it! She weighed 14lbs 13oz at her 4 month well check and is growing beautifully! Although doctor gave her some unpleasant shots, she walked out of there with her ears pierced! Bella cried and screamed which only made daddy fall apart. Instead of the pediatrician comforting Bella after the shots, she had to comfort daddy! Overall she did great though and got a great health report...praise God! Some of Bella's new accomplishments are trying cereal, rolling over and blowing bubbles with her mouth. She loves to smile, laugh, and talk through her bubbles! She didn't like tummy time so much, so she discovered how to roll over! Now she is a pro at it and mommy has to sit next to her to get tummy time in without her rolling over! Mommy is home now for summer vacation and is enjoying her time with baby! We even get to have lunch dates with daddy during the week. Bella will be getting baptized this month and we are so excited to welcome her into the arms of the Catholic church and the love of our Father God. Daddy and mommy are doing well. Daddy had emergency surgery earlier last month on his appendix, but is now fully healed. We are counting our blessings each day and pray for health, happiness, protection and love for all those near and far.

Through the eyes of Mr. Valdez

Twelve years ago I found a companion who I loved to be around. I knew she was special from the first day we started to get to know each other. We started our journey filling it with many beautiful memories. We have been married for seven years now and have had trials and tribualtions. Our life together has created a beautiful outline that is forever in our thoughts. If one were to ask me what I think of Monica this is what I would tell them. My wife (it's wonderful to say that) is strong, respectful to everyone, has a very generous heart, is a great leader, and has a very special touch with children. She has taught me many things in our time together and continues to do so. We share many things together like biking on the trails, live outdoor music, dancing, spurs basketball, fall football (Hook 'Em), sitting outside on a nice evening grilling hanging out with friends and family, and open to anything new. Being married you also learn to participate in your spouses hobbies and interests. If you don't you may never know that you may like theatrical plays. Through all the love, laughter, tears, and disagreements. I would proudly say that I would do it all over again just to be with her:)

When I said "I do" 8 years ago, I didn't know what to expect out of our life together. All I knew was that I was head over heels w/ this handsome hunk I now call my husband! I was a young 20 yr old and we were living the life! Then "life" really hit us. We've had our hardships and our glorious days, and through them all Jesus has always been by my side. No matter the struggles we face, he leads us forward with strength and determination. He is fun to be around, caring and considerate, and always willing to help others. The best thing about him is that he cooks great meals (yum), and has taught me a lot about gardening. We both enjoy outdoor activities, whether its hiking and exploring new places, cooking out and watching sports games, or just sitting out in our backyard patio that we built! We enjoy the company of our families, and we anxiously await the blessing of our own family. After 11 yrs of being his best friend, I am still truly deeply, madly in love w/with him.
